With 7 members of our congregation we depart from "The Ark Church" in Ede,
The Netherlands. While we are still in The Netherlands we receive the
message that 4 other church members already arrived in Cristesti. Because
of a wedding, the family Nijkamp traveled to Romania in advance. In
Cristesti they will accompany us. We start at 20.00 hours with prayer and
scripture reading,
after which we are being said goodbye.
Although we initially expected to travel with 8 persons, at the very last
minute, one of us could not join. Because her passport was still at the
Russian embassy in The Hague for a visa, she had to stay home.
The journey will last around 1,900 kilometers. The first part of the journey will lead us through well captured high ways. We cross the Dutch-German border at Elten. Here we had a control because of the foot and mouth disease. This did not give any problems en we continued via highway A3. Around midnight we reached Frankfurt.
