The travel lead us via cities like Würzburg, Neurenberg
and Regensburg, finally via Passau the Austrian border could be passed.
We had a journey without incidents and when the morning started we just
crossed the Austrian capital Vienna. Here we had to take petrol. It was also
time for breakfast. Between 8 and 9 AM we had breakfast in a well-known
restaurant. At least well-known by regular Romania travelers. For them it
is more or less a fixed stop.
After an enormous breakfast we had to travel for another hour after which
we reached the Hungarian border.
Around eleven thirty we arrived in Budapest, the beautiful capital of Hungary. Therefore we took some time for sightseeing the city and for giving rest to our legs. At one o'clock we continued. Via the highway to Eger, and from here on main roads along the Hortóbagy: a national park (Hungarian puszta) to Berettyoújfalu.
Here we were welcomed warmly by the owner of the pension. After a drink - beer or wine; this time no pálinka - we had diner in a local restaurant. Surprisingly we could have a seat in a separate non-smoking area. Then we went to bed: a deserved sleep.
